The sensation of being numb reminds me of choking or losing control, which just spirals my anxiety.
When I found out I needed a cavity filled, I was terrified. But then I spoke to Dr. Ashley, and she introduced me to their wand technology, which numbs only the tooth itself, avoiding any numbing of the tongue, throat, or surrounding areas. Just knowing that was an option gave me a little hope.
