“This review is long over due, but if I'm being honest I was trying to keep Linda a secret so I never had to battle for an appointment with her, because she is THE BEST! I first went to The Hair Parlour after purchasing a Groupon back in 2021, coming in with box dyed burgundy hair that I did myself all throughout quarantine. I had my appointment set with Linda, told her I was looking to find a way to get back to my natural color but with some enhancements. I don't know how she did it, but I walked out of that salon looking like a brand new person. Since then Linda has been the only person to touch my hair for cuts, coloring, or highlights and she will be the only person to do so from here on out! I randomly get stopped in ladies rooms at restaurants and stores to ask me where I go to get my hair done, being told "I am a hair dresser myself and I have never seen highlights and coloring so beautifully blended!". Not only is she an expert at what she does, but she is an absolute delight to sit and talk with, she makes everyone feel welcomed and comfortable! My husband now goes to Linda for his haircuts and claims he has also found his holy grail stylist and has never had a better barber experience. “We have been here a few times now and we love Julie. My son doesn't like the clippers and he doesn't like his hair short but she gave him a nice short cut to fix his bangs and he didn't complain at all. She asks and tells you about the cut beforehand. Julie is awesome. We highly recommend her.“

“I recently had a head spa treatment by Michelle at Shear serenity. Not only was it a wonderful relaxing spa treatment, but I learned that it’s also good for those suffering from hair loss. ( I noted thinning hair after starting GLP1 medication.) Since my Head spa treatment, I feel I have found less hair strands in the sink, if any at all. I highly recommend this treatment.“

She’s talented, consistent, and has such a warm energy that makes every appointment feel like self‑care in the truest sense.

“My husband was way overdue for a haircut, but he kept putting it off—especially since we recently moved and didn’t know any good barbers in the area. I found this place and saw it was both a salon and barbershop, so I convinced him to go together while I got a wash and blowout.

Star did my hair and was amazing—super thorough wash and one of the best straightening jobs I’ve ever had. At the same time, Jeffe gave my husband an incredible haircut. The fade was perfectly blended, and honestly, it might be the best haircut he’s ever gotten. He got so many compliments later that day!

I was so impressed that I came back two days later for extensions with Star. She worked quickly and efficiently—finished everything in under 2 hours, and it looked fantastic.

“The best haircut experience I can remember having. My hair had been grown out for a couple years and really didn't know what to do with it. Barber shops always cut me too short and salons were always filled with middle aged women hairdressers who never really saw the loose vision I had. On a whim I made the 30 min trek out to Medford to Sedia, after my job told me I had to shorten my hair. I shared with Alex my general idea of the style I was going for, with a couple of reference pictures, and he instantly was game for the project. I knew I was in good hands right off the bat. Alex is a super chill guy and talked me through each detail of the cut and how to maintain the style I was going for. It could've partly been that it was just me and him in there, but it really felt like the most personalized experience I've had in a barber shop- justifying the higher price point. It's been almost a month now and I'm still getting compliments on the cut. Can't recommend enough.“

The receptionist, Jen, is extremely knowledgeable and helpful anytime I’ve had question, from hair styles to hair dyes. The hair stylist ,Ali, is literally the best stylist I could have ever asked for. He has done magic with my styles and has gone over the top with some of my requests. Attached is a picture of his most recent hair coloring that absolutely blew me away. I felt like some kind of movie star walking out of the salon.“
