Rarely give a 5 star but Phil was amazing. Just moved to NJ from DC and have been looking for a salon but have been hesitating. Was able to get a last minute appointment with Phil who was knowledgeable and a good listener. Usually need a week to get used to a new salon but he did such a such a great job on my cut and color that I loved it immediately. ????

Phil was kind enough to accommodate me first thing in the morning due to a last minute schedule change at my workplace. He listens to you and styles your hair how it best suits your features. So glad I’ve been able to establish this local salon as my go-to place. Love the history and family-oriented nature of this salon too!Service: Haircut

I reserved a spot for 11:00 a.m. When I got there the shop was not opened. So, I called the beautician who claimed she was at the post office sending a package for her son. So, I needed a few things and shopped along Springfield Ave. After a while, she called me and said she was ready, for me, at the salon. When I arrived, since I was not far away, she was already doing someone's hair. She did my hair quite rapidly since I was just getting hair color, a deep conditioner and nothing else. I would suggest that Althea calls before going on extra excursions while clients are waiting.
