Mar was the hair stylist for a friend’s wedding and she did a fantastic job. As a bridesmaid my hair was done at 10am- it stayed picture perfect throughout the entire night. I would definitely recommend for any special events.
I didn't get a haircut or color, but Hair by Mare expertly did my full makeup for a head shot session with Rutherford photographer Maggie McGill. They team up occasionally to offer this 30-minute package, which is reasonably priced. (You pay Maggie and she works it out with Mare--I did not pay Mare directly.) It includes full makeup and hair touch-ups by Mare (my hair has a mind of its own, however, and is not very open to change), as well as a preparation guide and your choice of four final poses with retouching. Maggie and Mare worked their magic to make me look like myself, only younger and better! The makeup made the difference! Highly recommend.
I have been going to Hair By Mare since it’s grand opening and I have known Mare for 10 years; there is literally no one else in the world I would trust with my hair. She is professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely cares what happens to your hair. I’ve lost count of how many times she’s given me the best haircut/color of my life because each one is that good. When I got engaged she was the very first vendor I booked because no one else was touching my hair for my wedding.
