One of the worst things we experience as parents is seeing our children in pain and not being able to help. We found ourselves in that situation with our daughter Lia almost two years ago when she was diagnosed with CRPS. The only option presented to us for Lia was medication, which came along with substantial side effects. After experiencing this for two years, we knew there had to be a better way. We found that way with Dr. Cooney and Calmare Therapy NJ. Dr. Cooney took the time to understand Lia’s pain and history and tailored her therapy to her. He made us all (especially Lia) feel welcome and laid out a clear path to being pain free. We have completed the therapy...read full review

I came here after suffering from adhesive arachnoiditis. A debilitating nerve disorder I had for over 30 years.I had every procedure, product and medication thrown at me.I followed Dr Cooney for years on FB and even spoke with him on the phone.I always felt my condition was rare and didn’t fit with his treatment.BOY WAS I WRONG TO THINK THAT.This past year the pain was excruciating, I had ablation, nerve blocks and even tried Lyrics.None of this helped, actually I felt worse. As a last resort, I called Dr Cooney. He said, neuropathy is neuropathySo January 2020 I came to his office. Here I sit, with 1 treatment to go and have ZERO NERE PAIN.Tears run as I write this because...read full review

I completed the full 10 calamare sessions and felt pretty good BUT I didn’t listen to Dr. Cooney when he said “you must rest for TWO WEEKS when you return home. So a little over a month I traveled from VA back to NJ for 5 treatments. I had to stop my Xanax (I didn’t know you cannot be on that for 72 hours before treatment. I had stopped gapabentin (nightmare to get off of!) So it’s been a week with me resting and my pain level is down from a 12 (felt like I was covered in liquid acid from the L-5 to the S-1) to a 2. However the CRPS does flare up at night and at times when I sit too long I CAN WEAR MY CLOTHES!! Oh my God people have NO IDEA what they have to be...read full review

Calmare Therapy® (scrambler therapy) is a non-invasive, drug-free solution for pain control and medication-resistant neuropathy. It uses biophysical “scrambler” technology, a treatment for nerve pain that uses electrodes placed on the skin. imageThe device works to relieve pain directly at the pain site without any reliance on medication. Via small electrodes strategically positioned by a specially-trained doctor, a ‘no-pain’ message is transmitted directly to the nerve for a period of approximately 35 minutes per session. Regardless of severity, pain and physical symptoms caused by the neuropathic condition can be significantly reduced-or even alleviated-by the conclusion of the 10-treatment series.
