On top of the physical challenges, this has been emotionally difficult for me due to shame from my past and the vulnerability that comes with it. I am also in recovery, and that history can make medical and dental visits especially intimidating.
Dr. Conte and his staff treated me with such empathy and compassion. There was absolutely no judgment. The dental assistant who helped me was incredibly gentle, attentive, and emotionally aware, making sure I was comfortable and understood every step of the process. Dr. Conte took the time to listen, explain, and reassure me, which meant more than I can express.
I felt truly seen and cared for as a whole person, not just a set of dental problems. As a Christian, I left feeling deeply grateful and honestly felt that God led me to this practice. The kindness, professionalism, and understanding I experienced were exceptional.
