I am 79 years old and have a progressive lung disease, the symptoms of which have been greatly reduced by Dr. Chen's acupuncture treatments designed to strengthen my immune system. His treatments have also been effective in reducing the joint pain and muscle spasms that often accompany aging. Dr. Chen is further distinguished in my experience by his willingness to listen carefully and for as much time as necessary to understand fully his patients' symptoms (mine and those of the people I have referred to him over the years) and to explain clearly whether and how acupuncture can be helpful. He is trustworthy, empathic and highly knowledgeable. I recommend him without reservation.

I was skeptical of alternative medicine as I come from a family very involved in the medical field. However, I have a herniated disc in my neck, physical therapy was not helping very much at all. The next clinical approach was injections in my spine and if that did not work, then surgery. My sister had recommended Dr. Chen because he had helped her with a whiplash injury.
