“This is at least the third time over the years we’ve had Jesse and crew come to do tree work. He’s my go to guy. He’s courteous, professional and knowledgeable and does excellent work. Whether using a bucket truck or climbing the trees manually, his work is exemplary. It’s important for me that my trees look healthy, symmetrical, and safe and he never lets me down. When he’s all done, the clean up is spotless. I’ve used other companies in the past but Jesse has been the best. A+++”
“These guys did a great job both with a project that involved a very delicate removal of a single huge tree hanging over our house, and with a massive project that included removing 20 dead ash trees and the invasive pricker bushes that had grown up around them. “We had Chris, Chris and Patrick here for 2 days. We had a dead ash and some smaller crab apple trees that needed to come down. We also had a small japanese maple and few larger maples and zelkovas that needing cleaning up. All work was completed as requested. The area was cleared up nicely upon completion as well. I would 100% recommend Chris and company with no reservations. UTS is now the only tree company I plan to use. We have tried a few over the years and found they weren’t great about honoring scheduled dates, following up on calls, didn’t always clean up well and had to be followed up with to get all the promised work completed. Not these guys. Chris is very thorough on the walk through and write up. These guys were a pleasure to do business with.”

“We were looking for a tree service in the Bushkill/Stroudsburg/Pike County area. We stumbled upon Filo’s through a recommendation from a Saw Creek neighbor.When it comes to Phil from Filo’s, “tree service” is a somewhat of an understatement…..maybe, “Tree whisperer”? The definition of PROfessional. The top-notch quality of service is the reason I’m writing my first Google review — He’s just THAT good.As a certified arborist, Phil was incredibly knowledgable. We were just looking to find out what we needed to, or “should” do for house safety and overall tree health, versus what we “could” do. He told us all that and then some - we ended up learning a lot! Phil told us upfront he wouldn’t cut a tree down unless absolutely necessary.He walked our property and spotted everything from Gypsy moth damage, to previous bad cuts that had badly damaged trees, to inside rot evidenced by a conk (as we said, he taught us stuff!)We knew we had some trees that needed to be removed because they were dead and/or falling/fallen, but Phil identified some “hidden” issues that no one but a certified arborist would have seen.Another “tree service” came by previously and basically told us that they could/would take down whatever we told them to for $X dollars. (Ok. Ummm…. We needed a bit of guidance.)By contrast, Phil spent well over an hour giving us a detailed initial consult (not knowing that we would even hire him).He truly cares and was careful with other trees to protect them - we had a pretty complicated situation with a couple large trees hung up in another, and his main concern was taking care to ensure no harm to the tree holding them up as he cut the others down. It was amazing to watch and a testament to his craft.He was professional and honest; he recommended that for the tree health we wait until later in the year to prune the healthy trees instead of him doing it then (which others would likely have done anyway).He not only listened to, but invited questions and explained - a true teacher.
