Retro Fitness offers a great member experience with state-of-the-art fitness equipment, group fitness classes, a Smoothie Bar, and a Pro Shop. With new management, the gym has seen significant improvements, including the replacement of broken machines, a cleaner locker room, and well-maintained fans. The staff is friendly and dedicated, making it a top choice among local gyms. Members have noticed positive changes in just a few weeks, praising the fresh energy brought by the management. Retro Fitness is well-recommended for anyone looking for a supportive and improved fitness environment. The North Arlington location is known to be the best among the Retro Fitness gyms in the area, with an affordable price and convenient walking distance from home. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, and the gym is not overly packed, allowing members to use the equipment without waiting. The management has also done a great job lately in keeping up with repairing and replacing weight machines, ensuring a well-maintained fitness environment.
Adequate facility for any workout needs, if you know what you are doing. Staff is pleasant, premises are clean and well maintained but the occasional slammers of equipment wind up causing more damage than the cost of their membership. Folks be considerate by remembering the low cost of your membership versus the benefits; be real......
I would tell members and people thinking about joining to go to the Montclair location or a different gym entirely. The staff are great, however the bathrooms and overall cleanliness of the gym is subpar. The bathrooms are never stocked with toilet paper, dirty and it seems the owners don’t care about the minor fixes or upkeep. Go to a different gym, even if this is convenient.
Five stars because Hannah who works at the front desk is super personable and friendly. I attended another gym but came in for information and she was super helpful and professional. Thanks Hannah for being so kind and welcoming! This is very rare in a big box gym and I appreciated it!
