Nick is extremely experienced and professional. He walked through his entire report onsite with us, and explained in detail why he was making the recommendations on the report. Nick even had many great tips and tricks for remediation that shows he really understands the trade. I would highly recommend Nick as a structural engineeer.

We needed a structural engineering evaluation and had recommendations for two companies. We planned to go with the recommendation from our general contractor, thinking that this would be the easiest to coordinate with the rest of our project. Scheduling was not a smooth process, however, and more than a week after they were contacted, we still had not been given an appointment. We contacted Nick at Colonna Consulting and easily scheduled a date for the assessment. We were also finally given a date by the first company, which was one day earlier than Nick's schedule. I sought out Colonna Consulting after a pre-purchase home inspector recommended some items for review by a structural engineer. It was easy to get in touch with Nick and get an appointment within a reasonable period of time. He has an eye for both the big picture and small details; some details no one had even noticed! The report and recommendations were solid and straightforward, including estimates. This was very helpful when considering whether to proceed with the house and needed improvements, or keep looking. It all came to a good resolution and I would definitely hire Colonna Consulting again in the future.
