The park system has resumed equestrian lessons.Restrooms: The main building has restrooms.Dog-friendliness: Because of the horses some fenced areas and the barns are dog prohibited areas unless they are service animals.

You can walk into the barn and around the grounds to visit the horses. Do NOT feed them. You can also sign up to volunteer there on a regular basis. The horses are all very chill and friendly.Restrooms: Restrooms in the main building with the inside arena.Picnic area: There are a few tables around the area.

I'm very proud to say my granddaughter is 16years old and is working happily toward her second year volunteering for the camp and SPUR program ... wonderful people and precious horses!! Excellent program!

From Sunnyside Equestrian Center

The Sunnyside Equestrian Center is the home of the Park System’s Equestrian Division. This division provides fundamental equestrian experiences for people of all abilities, with an emphasis on offering the benefits of therapeutic horseback riding to individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities, helping them to develop to their full potential. The equestrian program operates with the financial support of Special People United to Ride, SPUR, a non-profit organization dedicated to sustaining the Park System’s therapeutic riding efforts.
