The instructors here are so informative and skillful, both during in-person classes and virtual classes, they're funny, and they are so accepting and helpful. They don't laugh at you or berate you or force you when you're nervous or if there's something you can't do--they meet you where you are and help you work up to what you need and give you something you can do in the meantime. I highly recommend them. I just wish there was a dojo closer to my neighborhood. I'm so happy I found their virtual classes during the pandemic; this school turned 2020 around for me.

We already had the best dojos any student could ask for. When the coronavirus pandemic hit and everything started shutting down, our dedicated and talented instructors immediately transitioned to online classes, cementing them in my mind as the absolute best of the best. I'm continually surprised at how no class is the same as a previous one - it's been 3 months or so now and the content is still fresh. Being able to keep up with my karate and my karate family throughout the pandemic has been an absolute gift. Thank you, TOK!

I've been a student at Kinnelon Dojo for several years and have trained at all the sister Dojos. All my experiences have always been positive and I've grown in my studies of Karate not just physically but mentally as well. Nothing's changed from that aspect but I wanted to write a new review in light of the Covid19 pandemic. Once the governors of NJ and NY shutdown gyms and public places, my first thought was 'oh no, what's going to happen to the Dojo?" Within 24 hours all Traditional Okinawan Karate Dojos in NJ and NY were up doing virtual Zoom classes. Sure it was a bumpy start but to be up and running and not miss a step. Overcoming obstacles and adversity is truly a Karate attitude and one of the thing you learn here. In times of stress and adversity I can always rely on my Dojo family. Folks, this is a rare gem and I would love to see you there on the Dojo floor
