Long Hill Contracting replaced my failing sixty-year-old gravity septic system with a new pressure dosing system. From the initial visit to bid on the project through its completion and even presently the owner Dave has always been available to explain the process and answer any and all questions in language clear to the layman. Dave is on-site working and managing his crew. He’s a perfectionist who expects no less from his workers, from the engineering firm he recommended and the electrician he brought in (since contracted to perform additional electrical work) All materials provided are of the highest quality from the pumping system right down to the excellent grass seed spread following final landscaping. Long Hill Contracting deserves its excellent reputation and all the five-star reviews. They will be returning to do the removal of an underground oil tank.
We had a wonderful experience with Long Hill Contracting while having our Norweco septic system installed. Dave and his wife, Danielle, made sure that all of our needs were met. They responded in a timely manner during the entire process. Not only was their pricing competitive and very fair, he was very upfront about a few unavoidable things that had to be done at they end and made sure he priced it out to stay as close as he could to our budget. (We we’re also aware that these extra things might need to be done before the project started, and they would only need to be done if they couldn’t use material on our property. So it wasn’t a surprise.) Dave even made sure he got our job done as soon as possible due to some time constrictions we had. The time frame for the job itself was 4 1/2 days. And we have a tricky property with an alternative Norweco tank. Everything was done on time, and LHC took care of all of the permits and worked seamlessly with our Engineering firm. Dave was also working on site every day, which was even more comforting, being as though this was the first time we had to have a septic system installed. We had the professionalism of a large corporation, but the approachable and caring touch of a small, family owned business. I hope we don’t have to use them for a very long time (as I don’t want to go through the process of a new septic system any time in the near future). But, we would recommend LHC in a heartbeat. We’re very thankfully for their top notch job.
Dave did an excellent job and was a pleasure to work with. He's very responsive and accomodating. He explained everything very clearly to multiple members of the family. Despite me living out of state, Dave made every effort to keep me in the loop and coordinate to install my parent's new septic system.
