I rarely buy glasses, so I wanted to shop around. We took my new prescription over on a Friday night and met Norm who was very helpful. We said we would be back, and he said, "I'm not on commission. Hope to see you again." I returned on a Monday and the place was incredibly busy. It was toward the beginning of the month, and someone mentioned that people who get their funds once a month come to Walmart then.I waved to Norm who was occupied, and Roger took care of my new lenses. Today we had the best experience at the Walmart Vision Center in Hamilton. My husband buys two pairs of glasses every 2 years, one transitional, which he wears for work, and a second pair for every day use outside of work. Both pairs had scratches on the lenses and needed the lenses replaced. But one of them also had the frames all bent out of shape and loose. We thought we needed to buy new frames for it (the frames aren't covered under the replacement warranty). Norman was the person who helped us. He ordered the replacement lenses for both pairs. Norm strikes ago. Broke a screw in my glasses and brought them in. He DID HIS THING as usual. Such a kind and genuine soul. Wouldn’t let me pay him, treat him to lunch, or anything. Everything is does is out of simple kindness. He deserves the world, and I hope his job cherishes him the way he deserves.
