We recommend American A1. Lou was very easy to work with. He explained the job in detail, and answered all of our questions thoroughly. Lou’s team was excellent. They were very mindful, polite and courteous- very professional. They were also very neat and the job was cleaned up completely. We were concerned about there being a lot of dust throughout the house, but there was none - they ventilated and hung plastic. They made a very stressful situation very easy for us.

After having an issue with water coming into my basement, I reached out to Lou to give me some waterproofing solutions. I reached out to Lou because American A-1 waterproofed my parents house after Hurricane Floyd in 1999 and they haven't had a problem since. Where others had recommended sump pits, Lou kept it simple and suggested a gravity feed system giving me as much floor space as possible, and not having to worry about running new electrical circuits. Lou also suggested pvc flashing to cover the walls and prevent any water penetrating the block, and even went as far as sealing all the panels to the wall and the dimple mat at the top to hook in my radon remediation system. Lou and team provided a premium service for the cost, working with me on dates, answering all my questions, and when it came to the work, the team hung plastic to minimize dust and worked quickly and efficiently to break the cement, trench, and install the french drains with ample clean-outs for future service. Lou handled all the permits and scheduling and even the town inspector commented how great the job looked. My Radon system is even running better than before, with lower rates and less pressure on the fan (which caused me to have to replace it 3 times). If you have a water problem, I recommend American A-1 to resolve it.
