About Gloucester City Terminal - Holt
Gloucester City Terminal - Holt is a busy port where trucks arrive daily. Upon arrival, drivers must park their trucks in the lot, which can be rough due to potholes. To proceed, drivers need to sign in on the computers or website and have their TWIC card to avoid extra fees and escort requirements. Once signed in, drivers join a line to be seen by clerks, who direct them to cross the street to the port. It's essential to know the customer order details to avoid delays. A safety vest is required for service. The process typically takes 2-3 hours, including waiting for a door assignment and checking in at the warehouse. Employees are generally helpful, and the instructions are easy to follow.
I pickup many times open checkin 7am close 5pm parking available but not allowed overnight
U receive msg for dock it’s depend ur load ready/ appointment time
If check in morning u finished in 2 hours, mostly take 4 to 5 hours
Under construction currently inside the port. Usually it can be a bit hectic when crowded but they get you going once you get to the window. Ask questions if dont k ow bec it can save you time checking in. Online check in, before you reach the window. This is one of the ports where the people I've encountered usually have a good attitude and dont mind helping. Half the parking lot is being worked on as well where truckers usually park and wait, so I dont know how its presently being handled. I was there between 3-4pm recently and it was almost empty as it was about to close for business that day.
Trust me when I tell you drivers. You're hit or miss here. You could be 3 hours or you could be all day. It all depends on what you're picking up and wether it's off the ship already or not. I arrived for a 10am appointment and was loaded and gone by 2pm. You check in with the app, TWIC is $102.50. There is plenty of staging parking but they do not allowed overnight parking. I dont advise parking on the street overnight either unless you enjoy the 'ladies of the evening'.
