I contacted Metro NY Insulation, among other contractors. I was impressed by their prompt response. They were very thorough in their assessment and informed me of various other rebate programs available to me even though I was only asking about the Con Edison one.The workers came when scheduled. They were very respectful and covered all areas they worked on. I was expecting four days work, but they finished in three. Our house is not well insulated and felt drafty and we paid a lot in energy costs. Especially the attic insulation was a mess. To save money and get the most bang for the buck we decided to redo only the attic insulation (and not insulate the basement or walls). We scheduled the initial consultation to get a free professional assessment and a quote. It was easy to schedule the initial consultation, which was professional and courteous and left us with a solution we liked at a competitive price. From start to finish Better Home Insulation was a joy to work with. They gave detailed explanations during the estimate period, provided an extremely fair price, got the work done in the expected time frame, and most of all respected the home they were working in. I have never seen a contracting company care about the clean up process as much as this company did. They do all the big things right but most importantly go the extra step with all the little things as well.
