I really want to like this nail salon. It is close to my home and the nail technicians are very sweet and accommodating. However, BUYER BEWARE if you are looking for a Dazzle Dry (DD) manicure. They use DD polish colors, but they do not follow all the steps in the DD protocol (they only do one base coat - should be two) and do not use the DD branded base coat or top coat. This is what you are paying extra for!! I brought this up to the manager and the answer I received was “this is how we do it. We never do a second base coat”. My experience was great: enjoyable, relaxing, and really well-done pedicure and brow wax. Mirabel was excellent, gentle, considerate, and skilled. The only negative thing I can say about the salon was that the music was annoying (bland cover versions of lite-FM music from the '70s and '80s).
My daughter went for a manicure that did not go well at all. The manicurist was dismissive as if she didn't approve of the length of nails my daughter wanted (she's 22, not 12). She painted over dust from filing and didn't have my daughter wash her hands. Then she was so rough that she broke the skin on more than one finger doing her cuticles. This salon was great before the new owner took over, unfortunately. I was hoping it was growing pains at first, but it seems to have gotten worse. The general energy in the salon is borderline uncomfortable between the staff. The original technicians are all still amazing, but something has changed with the new team/management. The woman who did my pedicure was really passive aggressive communication wise, and my nail bed corners still hurt from her going to town with the cuticle cutter. The visit before this, the entire staff was having a screaming argument for over 15 minutes; that is not normal.
