About Ewing Veterinary Hospital
Ewing Veterinary Hospital has been a trusted veterinary practice for many years, known for its compassionate care and experienced staff. Dr. Nelson, the long-time veterinarian, has built a great reputation and a dedicated team, including front office staff Amelia and Amy. Patients and their owners have praised Dr. Nelson's kind and understanding approach, as well as his commitment to the animals' health and wellbeing. However, in recent times, some concerns have been raised about the deterioration of Dr. Nelson's abilities, leading to a difficult situation for his loyal clients. Despite these challenges, Ewing Veterinary Hospital continues to be a respected and valued part of the community.
This was the first time I took my kitties to this vet! He was the kindest and most knowledgeable Dr. The team was so kind and were so welcoming. The girls, Fern and Clover, did so well and felt so at ease in the office. I am so glad that I was able to come to this vet!!!
I am putting five stars, because Dr Nelson was five stars for a very long time. He has family upfront and another great front office staff person. For a very long time this all works so well and I loved going in there as long as I had a fairly healthy animal course, so it was very upsetting to me to see this change and I'm having a hard time replacing him, but I must. His ability now in 2024 has deteriorated and sadly, I also witnessed him attempting to euthanize a dog that my friend brought in and he virtually couldn't do it --he was poking at the veins. He didn't use the pink juice. What can I say!?!... he was quite agitated...but it just seems that he's got a great office staff, a great reputation, and it's time to retire and enjoy the rest of your time.
Doctor Nelson and his staff Amelia and Amy are wonderful. Dr Nelson has taken care of our dog for 17 years. He recently crossed the rainbow bridge and they were so kind and compassionate.
