My son has been taking piano lessons with Ms. Joy for about four years, and we couldn’t be happier. She is incredibly patient and thoughtful in how she paces each lesson — never overwhelming him, but always keeping him motivated and engaged. What I appreciate most is how she makes learning the piano enjoyable, so it never feels like a chore.

She also goes above and beyond to create meaningful experiences for her students. Twice a year, she organizes wonderful recitals where students can showcase their progress. My daughter enjoys learning with Ms. Joy. She explains and shows how to play both technically and with musicality. She provides guided practice opportunities for improvement and also individualizes instruction. I was nervous at first about doing lessons remotely since we live in Maryland, but within the first lesson, it was apparent that Ms. Joy is a great teacher. We feel lucky to work with her as she is motivating and professional.
