“Finding a good barber in JC is like finding an honest mechanic - it ain't easy. I returned to JC after spending most of my adult life in Wash, DC and I struggled to find a good barber here. One was undependable due to his addiction, another was inconsistent in cutting my hair the way I wanted it done and it was really hard to get an appointment with the last barber I was using. Given my usual barber was out of the country, I needed a cut bad and after looking at the reviews opted for Mateo at Supremacy. Not only did he take the time to LISTEN to how I wanted my cut, he shared which guards he was using for my tapered fade and even trimmed the loose hairs on my eyebrows. Additionally, he hit me up with a warm towel on my face before he trimmed my goat-tee. Now I know the guy-code about being loyal to your barber, but I think Mateo has moved to the #1 spot for me. It's easier to get an appointment, I 've gotten more compliments on the cut he gave, I get more for my buck and the shop is even within walking distance of my crib.
