Egg Harbor Care CenterThis review is long overdue! I was not able to write it until now, as the grief was too great. I am using my first hand knowledge to prevent some of the horrific things that happened to my sister from happening to other patients at this center.My bright, funny, skilled, loving sister, was a patient there for many months, during COVID and after a fall. She was treated so poorly and was severely neglected!!!She was a retired ER nurse after working for 37 years. HORRIBLE!!! Do not send your family member here. My husband was here in July. He arrived on a Thursday in the evening I took him out of here the following Monday morning. HORRIBLE!!! Dirty, dusty and the staff...very unprofessional.
My brother received horrendous care at the egg harbor careless center. He was told not to get out of bed but that there were NO urinals in the entire facility. Social services did not arrange or send orders to a in home care service until he was home alone for a week after repeated phone calls. His medication was not provided for 48 hours after he got there. On discharge he left with me unassisted to the car and his wheelchair rolled him off the curb The administrator serves like a psychotherapist instead of solving problems and checking up.
