This is my second time visiting Island spa on my birthday! I think my favorite part is the bath houses. One critique I have is that there’s not much variety in the bath houses or the saunas. However, the ambiance is very peaceful and relaxing. The first time I got a massage it was amazing. My second massage was okay. The food was pretty good. Overall, I’d still keep returning. Also very clean! Lots of areas for relaxation.
I’m writing from my boyfriend’s account butttt.. for starters I don’t write many reviews but wow the 60 minute deep tissue massage with Jenny was the best thing I have ever felt. Seriously if you give raises here please give her one. As a college athlete I’ve received 40+ massages and this one was by far the best one. I came twice these past few months and have opted for the 30 minute massages but decided to go for 60 this time. As a piece of advice, definitely just do the 60 minute, you get tenfold of what the 30 minute gives. Food is a 10/10 bimbap is to die for, kitchen staff are really friendly. My go to spa. The bath house section really can’t be highlighted enough. The different temperatures relax your muscles, where you need a quick cold plunge or a herbal bath.
I also love the sauna rooms, it’s great to sweat out any of the stress.
The food is solid, especially the drinks and the front coffee shop section. I usually spend about 4 hours in here with friends, enough to also catch one of the free yoga classes.
All and all, so much to love, and if I want to do something else, I can walk around the plaza afterwards.
