4 minutes agoNEW Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness We decided to remodel our only full bathroom in our house as it was starting to crumble around us and we wanted to make sure the tub didn’t fall through the floor onto our kitchen! That’s how awful and that’s how much disrepair you would say my bathroom was in. We had to finally take the plunge. Not only is remodeling a bathroom from demolition to completion quite costly, it is also inconvenient not having access to bathing for a month! That said, we searched for the contractor to help us with this. Kosta came in the middle range of pricing. Not the highest and not the lowest. He seemed to be very experienced in how to manage the project. As it was during the pandemic and ordering supplies would take a long time, without even a commitment from us yet, he helped us order the materials and supplies we needed to complete the project. He stayed in touch to see how the orders were progressing and coached us on what and how to order everything, from tiles to hooks to sinks and tubs and plumbing fixtures and how they all differ. He understood my vision. Kosta is happy to do ALL the ordering of bathroom supplies, but I am VERY picky and wanted to make sure I ordered what I wanted and not leave it up to someone else to source the stuff. He was patient and coached us through the process (please note, again, this was all happening and we still had not awarded him the project!). Kosta is very smart not to start a project until all materials are on site. So I had a mission. When all the stuff arrived and we checked all the boxes, we called Kosta and told him we wanted to deposit and he had already reserved a spot for us in March 2022. We started talking to him Fall 2021. He never pushed us!!! He mentored us on his own time. That’s the level of professionalism you can expect from Kosta and his team. Family run business for many years in our area. We met the entire family! Dad and Brother are part of the team. Kosta and his brother took over the business from Dad. That said, mistakes were to a minimum because of proper planning and reviewing. His contractors were as professional as his core team. We will continue to use his plumber and electrician and already have for ancillary items. If there were any 11th hour changes or decisions that had to be made, he was transparent and brought it to our attention immediately. There we a couple of items that needed to be replaced or sourced at the last minute and Kosta was able to help me get things replaced, refunded and introduced me to his go to suppliers for some additional stone we wanted to add to the design at the last minute. The entire team couldn’t have been better. They were so respectful of our house and our family and of our privacy and of our animal!! We have a cat that does not go out. They were VERY mindful not to start any work until we put the cat away. Sometimes the guys would wait patiently while we had to find the cat to lock him upstairs for safety. They finished on time and on budget! Minimum last minute or unexpected changes. I’m a salesperson and project manager by trade and NO Contractor likes dealing with people who do what I do for a living and these guys were so confident in their ability to make even the most discerning customers happy, I had to give them the business. We decided to remodel our kitchen so we called several companies that specialize in kitchen remodeling. Each company sent a sales person to visit the house and assess the scope of the job and gave us proposals. We selected Mr. Kitchen and Bath on Centennial Avenue in Cranford New Jersey, a local family company. John Frangoulis founded the business in 1980 and it is now managed and operated by his sons Kosta who basically does design and estimating and Nick who is the on-site project manager. Kosta came to the house again and gave us some fantastic ideas on how to best maximize the space in our kitchen and gave us a detailed cost estimate Once the work began and they started to take the kitchen apart several walls of the previous remodeling were uncovered that had to be repaired before they could proceed. These unanticipated problems were repaired without any hesitation or further cost. When it came to the plumbing electrical, tiling, and counter tops they called in some of their long term trusted subcontractors. Kosta and Nick were here everyday to do their part, and continually checked the progress of the subcontractors work to make sure it met their high standards. When the remodeling was finished they asked us to go through the kitchen with a fine tooth comb. The few minor items that we found were rectified immediately. We were right in our perception that they would be perfectionist because they take pride in their work and met all of our expections and then some. Being a family owned and operated local business they do not advertise and rely solely on word of mouth for their recommendations. In our case they surely deserve the highest praise. We are thrilled and happy with our remodeled kitchen because of their ideas and guidance.
