The vets and the staff are amazing. They are always so thorough and have great bedside manner. Always willing to talk through issues I need more information about. An added bonus, I love the atmosphere of the building.

My 17 year old dog took a turn for the worse unexpectedly and our normal vet was closed. After calling 5 local vets 2 days before Christmas, Black River was the only one able to see my dog despite a full schedule. My dog ended up passing away in the parking lot and the vet & vet tech came out to check her heart beat and then brought her inside to be packaged to be buried at home. They even gave us a keepsake of her paw print. They were so kind and compassionate despite my dog not being a regular patient. I cannot thank the whole staff enough for helping my family during this terrible time. I will be using this vet going forward for my other animal.

All of the doctors (dr. Hancock, dr. Sun) we’ve come across at black river vet are fantastic, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. Our 14 month old GSD actually enjoys going to the vet! Definitely appreciate how you can text their main number as well!
