I was not able to live with my mom. It is astounding to acknowledge that a sociopath essentially separated us. That's what crazy people do best- they move the person under their control as far away from a perceived threat as they can. I went along for the ride. I couldn't afford the ride back. As I have said before, my dad let his girlfriend pick the location of our doomed business. Our top opportunity quickly withered in the presence of Pine Barrens trash. And my mom withered, too. Being divorced and alone takes a toll on a soul. However, my mom had a home health aide who helped her for nine years. That is exceptional.
