I am writing to formally place on record my deepest gratitude and highest praise for Shannon Martorana, LSW, Director of Social Services.
During a period of immense pain, physical limitation and extreme stress involving critical legal court deadlines and complex care transitions, Shannon went far above and beyond her formal job duties to support me.
She took the time to personally collect and organize my legal documents, ensure time-sensitive appellate filings were scanned and transmitted to the courts on deadline, and coordinate with administrative staff on my behalf. My elderly father has been a patient at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Southgate four times over the past six years and has always received great care. Most recently at age 94 he was admitted following hospitalization for pneumonia. Due to his severely weakened state he was at Southgate for almost three months but thanks to the care he received he is now able to once again live independently. My sister and I both live far away so we were very grateful for the excellent communication we were able to have with the staff via telephone and email. My grandfather's stay there was great. The staff was great to deal with. Therapy was so helpful to him. Nurse Eric was wonderful and Dawn was so helpful. Thankful they helped him so he could return home to us!
