UPDATE: Changing my review to 5 stars. Mike came through and made up for the missing card and then some! Don't miss this card shop. We'll be back next year!
Got a nice set of 1989 Fleer baseball cards yesterday for my son. He was super excited for a piece of baseball history and all the hall of famers from when I was a kid.
The box said it was complete but missing Bill Ripken card (616). Whether it was the original card with error removed, or the edited version, we were both disappointed. On closer inspection the “factory sealed” sticker had a piece of Scotch tape over it. A nice (incomplete) set for the price.
We visit Cape May several times a year and my son makes sure we visit Mike's shop every time (well, multiple times per trip, LOL). Last time we had the pleasure of meeting Mike personally and he was so incredibly kind to my son- gave him some great deals and even threw in a few packs of cards for free. He has a ton of stuff and is in business to help make folks happy and start or add to their collection, rather than to solely make a profit. We will definitely return again and again! We visit here every time we are in Cape May….ok, we visit here multiple times during every stay in Cape May! Mike has a great vintage selection and a good selection of newer hobby box packs. We always find some kind of surprise treasures! We were lucky enough to meet him personally our latest trip and he was very generous and kind and went out of his way to help us with any questions we had. Definitely the best place for any sports fan to visit while in Cape May!
