Unprofessional, rude, expensive and one of the worst businesses I have ever dealt with. They ruined my skirt. We are all human and mistakes can happen and that is OK. The problem is when a person (especially a business) does not own up to their mistake and lie about it. SMH

I WAS SO WRONG ABOUT ROYAL CLEANERS located at 250 Glenwood Road Plaza in Bloomfield, NJ !!! THE COMPLETE LACK OF INTEGRITY IS ASTOUNDING! Having just retired, and relocated, to Bloomfield, NJ to be closer to my grandchildren, I heard nothing but glowing remarks about the Bloomfield Community. Retired from 20 years of teaching US History, I decided to have my cashmere sweaters cleaned for winter storage. I actually believed that I would be satisfied with the service provided by Royal Cleaners. Then, again, I suppose my antennae should have gone up when the tissue paper started going missing; or perhaps when--at my first visit--I had to ask the Asian woman behind the counter to correct the spelling of my last name when she entered it incorrectly into the computer; four simple letters. Now, that very same computer has no record of my garments. Why would my name and phone number be in their system if I had not brought in at least ONE garment for cleaning? My $300 cashmere wrap hung knee-length and stretched from shoulder to elbow width; it is now shrunken beyond belief. I had to be careful not to trip over it. Now, it's as if the garment was thrown into a washing machine, or subjected to excessive steam cleaning. Oh yes, it was deliberately, and clearly, mismanaged. It is now shorter, narrower, and as dense as knitted wool. As she took my money--again--I remember how she glanced at the plastic bag hanging on the rod as if she expected/wanted some type of altercation. Interestingly enough, the cashmere skirt that was in the same order as the wrap was almost pearl free, and still cashmere soft. I took a black cashmere sweater from the plastic bag this morning (4/10/2022) intending to add a piece of jewelry only to find that it had never been cleaned. It was pressed until the color was compromised and hung in a plastic bag. [See images] On 4/11/2022, I visited the cleaners ready to hear terms of restitution for the complete lack of professionalism, and for destroying my garments. The Asian woman who works there, again, asked me for my cell phone number, and checked the listing in her computer. She found my name there, but there was no listing of any garments; not even one. My account was blank; obviously they know that they are responsible/liable, and have attempted to "white me out." Since I first posted this, I have not been contacted by Royal Cleaners; absolutely no attempt has been made to right this bigoted wrong. I now plan to leave flyers in the common areas and inform the local internet community of the bigoted thieves amongst us. Do I believe that the attack on my cashmere garments was a deliberate, unprofessional, petty-white hate, crime? Yes, I most certainly do. My intention is to contact both the Chamber of Commerce, and the Better Business Bureau of Essex County. Now, that I have retired from teaching; still bursting with that African American penchant to right wrongs while orchestrating "life lessons," I will probably be seen handing out "warning flyers" while standing in front of the cleaners. Moon in Scorpio is no joke; nor is "Due/Do unto Others as you would have them do/due unto you a mere suggestion. Soon enough, much of Bloomfield, NJ will know what I know.

I would rate this place less than 1 star if I could. It's not called parin cleaners btw. But it is in the plaza by the dunkin donuts. I went there to get a suit altered and the lady said it would be $55 because she would give me a military discount. The ticket even said $55. When I came to pick it up the old man said it was $12 more. He insisted I pay it even though the ticket clearly said $55. I told him I wear a suit everyday and 5 dress shirts a week and asked him if he was prepared to lose my business because he is refusing to give me the price the lady told me. He said he didn't care. I also witnessed the lady demand that a customer leave a $20 deposit for getting a comforter dry cleaned. I believe it was because the lady was black. I'm white and even I could tell she was being discriminated against. What dry cleaner asks for a deposit? DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. IT IS AWFUL
