I took both my 3 year old son and 5 year old autistic daughter for hair cuts today. My son did good but my daughter was totally distressed crying, screaming, throwing herself on the floor. She needed a hair cut because her hair was so long but I always get constant anxiety taking her places to get her hair cut because I know she’ll fight and I get scared places will turn us away. My husband picked her up and placed her in the chair and held her while she cried and the hair dresser was so calm and was constantly reassuring my daughter it’s okay. Becky was great with my almost 2 year old that is terrible for hair cuts.She was so patient and did an amazing job on my son’s hair all while he was throwing a tantrum. She was thoughtful of his needs and would take breaks. Would ask if he wanted water. Turned on his favorite show.Over all was a great experience (as great as it can with a toddler who hates getting his haircut)
My wife and I stumbled upon this place 3 years ago and we haven't brought our boys anywhere else. They cried everywhere else but the kiddy environment must be inviting to little kids and they love it. They are now 6-7 and a little too big for the airplane chairs but they love coming here. It was a great find. She also gives them a nice cut.
