My daughters have been coming to Chuck Heimlich's Little Ninjas karate xlass for a few months. They are thoroughly enjoying their class. They meet twice a week for a half hour each, learning skills such as focus, listening, balance and respect. My husband and I both believe every child should have the opportunity to experience karate to reap all the benefits that it will provide for them physically, mentally and socially.Update: 12/2/22 I signed up for a self defense class and after a couple weeks, 1×week, I can say I've already learned quite a few techniques that I feel would be very effective for a woman or man to use against a threatening person.

Have you ever done something completely outside your comfort box?15 months ago I did just that! I decided to give Heimlich's Karate a try! Truly I did know what to expect,except that I knew I had never been the athletic type. So here I was 54 and about to embark on an adventure but I never give it a second thought to! KARATE-Goju ryu , to be exact! I never knew how uncoordinated I was until I couldn't tell my left or my right! As Time progressed I was getting the hang of it I'm not gonna say I was perfect but I was good enough that I could test to get my white belt ,yes you test for your white belt you don't just get a belt ,you work for it!
