My daughter has been a proud member of White Tiger Dojo for over seven years, and it remains one of her favorite places to be. As parents, we are incredibly grateful for the life lessons, confidence, and character building that Sensei Darren instills in his students. I joined White Tiger Dojo about 18 months ago. As someone who started martial arts later in life, I’m 55 and spent most of the last 30 years sitting at a desk, I was initially concerned with my conditioning and possibly getting hurt. Those concerns were overblown. With the steady guidance of Sensei Darren, my conditioning, strength, flexibility and balance have all improved. In addition, the discipline involved in learning self-defense focuses the mind. When I enter the Dojo, and concentrate on learning new skills, it gives me a mental break from the stresses of the outside world. Finally, the Dojo is a great community. Finding White Tiger Dojo has been a blessing for our family. I can’t fully express how thankful I am for everything Sensei Darren and the instructors do for our son. They don’t just teach martial arts—they teach life. They instill values that will shape his character for years to come, all while treating him with the utmost respect. The way they speak to the students, the affirmations, the real conversations—it’s all part of a deeper, more meaningful experience. The lessons they impart, both mentally and physically, have already made such a positive difference in our lives. This dojo has truly enriched our family, and I feel so lucky to be a part of it.
