Riverwalk Physical Therapy is conveniently located near Route 78 in Basking Ridge, above Dean's Natural Foods. Their new 4600 sq. ft. facility treats patients of all ages, and everyone there is known for being kind and welcoming. They offer complimentary transportation for patients who are unable to drive after surgery or for Medicare recipients. Patients report positive outcomes for various injuries and surgeries, often praising the therapists' knowledge, dedication, and enthusiasm. Following rotator cuff surgery in February 2021 I chose Riverwalk Physical Therapy. I was pleased to know that my surgeon had positive feedback and was quick to recommend Riverwalk. And since I was facing a long recovery and frequent appointments, I wanted the convenience of this nearby facility. I had been to countless PT facilities to pre-habilitate this injury, along with other injuries over the years and observed how these facilities operated. Most jiggled multiple patients simultaneously, using alternate personnel (i.e. Assistants) whenever possible. Most were large operations with distractions from noise and limited space. In contrast, Riverwalk PT conducted more of a boutique operation with smaller capacity and more therapist oversight. Furthermore, time spent directly with my scheduled therapist was uninterrupted and efficient. My therapist, Dave Kitchen, customized my sessions based on current need. He was also mindful of my exercises and activities at the facility, from the corner of his eye, while not in his direct care. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, helping whenever the need arose. All staff on duty was aware of each patient’s needs every session. My recovery benefited greatly for these reasons.
