So, SJ Hauck, You're a house mover. We'd like you to pick up this old house from where it's been for 150 years, spin it around 180 degrees and move it back about 200 feet from the road across soft sandy soil and set it on a new foundation (by others) that's much larger than the old house (for an addition to come later), and set in a hole you dig and prep for it; so please add some posts and level the floors to match up with new floors to come later in the addition that's not there yet. Can you do that? "Sure!" And they did. No muss, no fuss. OK, there was some collateral damage, but they made good on that straightaway. Unquestionably the best, most capable, and most trustworthy house movers in the business. Highly recommended.
We recently completed a large turnkey lift and renovation project with SJ Hauck in Somers Point and we could not be happier. This was a significant undertaking and the entire team at SJ Hauck made the project seamless. Communication with Steve Hauck, Tom Sullivan and Rob Kaiser was superb throughout our 18 month journey. When the actual lift and construction began we worked on a daily basis with our project manager, Harold Haug who was nothing short of excellent. He kept us informed of scheduling details and all relevant changes, he had a wealth of knowledge to share in layout, product details and design suggestions that were consistently on point, and he was ALWAYS available to meet with us personally to discuss any concerns we may have had, addressing them honestly and timely. Harold coordinated all of the different facets of our project from demolition, to the lift and framing crews as well as the mechanical and finish crews keeping our project moving throughout the stress of the Covid crisis without sacrificing quality, craftsmanship or integrity. Our project exceeded expectations and we appreciate the entire team at SJ Hauck for their hard work, expertise, and commitment to excellence. Thank you for making our dream home a reality and for keeping us safe and dry by the bay for years to come.
