About Performance Muscular Therapy
Performance Muscular Therapy, specializing in Sports Massage Therapy and Movement Education, has been serving athletes and active individuals in the seacoast region since 1991. The practice focuses on performance, preventative, and restorative care for chronic postural and movement restrictions. The therapists use techniques like Anatomy Trains Structural Integration and Kinesis Myofascial Integration to organize the neuro-myofascial network, promoting balanced alignment and fluid motion. Clients praise the professionalism and deep knowledge of the therapists, particularly noting their understanding of human anatomy and ability to recommend helpful stretches. The massage therapy often involves deep, targeted work, which clients find effective despite occasional discomfort. Many have relied on these services for years, trusting the therapists to maintain their body health for various activities such as running, triathlons, hiking, paddling, and general fitness. The quiet studio space and relaxing atmosphere enhance the overall experience, making Performance Muscular Therapy a valued resource for those seeking performance enhancement and injury prevention.
Paul is a true sports massage therapist. I’ve been a client for over 10 years. He doesn’t just know how to massage muscles, but it’s obvious that he has a solid understanding of human anatomy. Bones, ligaments, muscles, tendons, fascia…. Just ask, and he’ll be glad to share what he knows. When needed, he’s good at recommending appropriate stretches.
Sometimes, he does very deep massage, and even if it’s a bit uncomfortable, I’ve come to trust that it’s part of good sports massage therapy.
I recommend Paul for sports massage without reservation. He has a quiet studio space and plays relaxing music.
I’ve been a client of Performance Muscular Therapy and Paul Caswell since 1993. Paul is an excellent massage therapist and has been an integral part in keeping my body is top shape for the rigors of ultra running, triathlons, road running, hiking, paddling and general overall health. I highly recommend his services.
