I first learned about Clark Asset Management from the White Coat Investor blog. I was looking for a flat fee planner and an advisor knowledgeable about retirement income planning as my wife and I embarked on our retirement journey. The transition from accumulation during the working years to decumulation in retirement can be complex and daunting. CAM are practitioners of income planning as espoused by retirement guru Wade Pfau which was very appealing to me. We've been working with Christian Messemer for a few years now and he has been fantastic. Previously we used Vanguard advisors and then a local advice-only advisor. CAM's structure provides both personalized advice and asset management at a lower fee. When we started we had a fairly complex situation and Christian did an amazing job listening to our concerns, building a solid plan, reorganizing our assets, and putting us on a steady path. What makes Christian special is his warm approach, truly caring about and understanding our family and evolving needs.
