Sue-Anne and her husband are amazing. We've raised 2 Select Shepherds over the years. Both rock steady temperament and none of the expected GSD issues. As someone in the vet industry, I've seen what happens when these dogs are bred irresponsibly, and they can be a medical and behavioral nightmare. Their love for their dogs and respect for the breed shine through in every interaction I've had with them. I recommend them to anyone looking for German Shepherd. I'll definitely be reaching out to them when we're ready for our next puppy.
Great respect for the work they do with their amazing dogs. My boy just passed after 12 incredible years. Their support throughout his life is an example of their commitment and love for their dogs.
I got my first shepherd from Select Shepherd in 2008. The most beautiful, gentle, good-tempered loyal dog I've ever had. While intimidating at 120 lbs when full grown, he captured the hearts of everyone who came to know him. My favorite story is when we were taking a walk in Washington DC along the Mall, when a little girl walked up behind him, and her mother asked if it was okay if she pet him. We had no hesitation about allowing it, as he was so gentle and had been raised in a household with my 4 kids.
