Kendo has changed my life in countless days. Kendo has built my spirit and improved my character. I stand taller, and speak a little prouder. The senseis at granite state are incredible. Understanding, knowledgeable, and welcoming are all words that come to mind when describing the teaching environment. I was scared my first day, as Kendo is a little intense when you start, but another student tied my armor for me, and assured me it would protect me. I am second dan now, 3-4 years later, and am looking forward to many years of Kendo to come.
Wonderful experience every time. The senseis are very experienced in kendo and really want everyone to excel in the art. They take the time and care to teach you basics and form, as well as sparring and going over opportunities of attack and defense. The group as a whole is also very welcoming and eager to train with new students. If you're looking to get in to a new sport, I recommend kendo here with this group
