I took a left instead of a right at the trail sign and discovered this area of river stones that to me first looked like a dumping ground from people from yesteryears, but closer inspection leads me to believe this is a dry riverbed or glacial deposit. Whatever it is I think its natural and not man-made. I want to learn more about it. If anyone has some knowledge to share about this location I am all ears.
