TJP Concrete to demo and replace the decades old and severely damaged concrete patio at my house. From the first call, they were very responsive and professional. They were willing to work with me through about half a dozen different quotes as I zeroed in on the final design for the new patio, which was extremely helpful for me as I was trying to determine the most cost-effective way of getting a concrete patio that still looked very nice. We ended up going with a rock-salt finish, decorative diamond pattern cut, and 1ft stained border for a little contrast. I think it looks terrific, and TJP Concrete was able to do it for a very good price - much better than the stamped, aggregate, or paver finishes I was originally thinking I would need to get a good-looking concrete patio. I highly recommend these guys and will definitely use them again for any future concrete needs I may have.
I cannot recommend P&R enough and have been recommending them to anyone who will listen since they refinished my basement after a catastrophic flood. First, I received a call back after leaving a message immediately (like within the hour). I called 3 other contractors, 2 of them never returned my call and a third called back after P&R completed the work. Rick came out to my house the very next day to survey the damage and take some measurements. I had an estimate for the work within the week and they started working right after that. Rich and Jake made great recommendations for how to refurbish the basement (suggesting vinyl flooring instead of the carpeting). They installed all the flooring, repaired all of the baseboard, fixed the covering to a load-bearing beam, painted 2 rooms with 3 different paints (2 coats each) and even installed sump pump so that the flooding that happened will not happen again. They did all this work in 1 weeks time and at a great price. They worked hard and were willing to answer all of my novice, homeowner questions the entire time. Since this initial work we have had them reinstall a backsplash for out kitchen counters AND Rick came out on a Sunday, during an emergency where my power breaker was tripping every few minutes. You're simply not going to find a better contractor that P&R. My wife and I are putting together a master list of projects that we want P&R to work on in the coming years and are looking forward to having them continue to add value to our home.
We’ve used Lakes Region Electric since the mid 2000’s. When we downsized and left the Lakes region for the Seacoast there was only one electrician we would use. We completely rehabbed a 1951 Cape, and with that came a lot of electrical upgrades as well as new work. Dennis Bettincourt is the only electrician we would use. We are more than willing to compensate his travel time to and from Alexandria to Newfields, that’s how squared away he is. His knowledge base, his attention to detail and his professionalism and pride in his work permeates everything he does. We are extremely happy with his Lakes Region Electric and can not recommend him enough. BRAVO ZULU Dennis!
