About Halo

Halo is a business that offers substance assessments and support for individuals dealing with addiction. One reviewer noted that while the staff, particularly a person named Alicia, was great, they felt like just another case file within a broken system. This reviewer expressed frustration with the organization's approach, stating that it often overlooks personal experiences and perspectives. They emphasized the need for a more individualized understanding of addiction, which is not solely defined by past experiences or criminal records. Instead, they advocate for holistic healing methods and a connection to nature as vital to mental health and wellness. Another reviewer mentioned that they found the meetings at Halo to be a positive experience, highlighting the importance of the place for those seeking support. Overall, Halo serves as a resource for individuals, but there are calls for a more personalized and holistic approach to treatment.

Alicia was great, I feel though. We are, as individuals there to take an assessment, just another case file or State funded dollar. I went for a substance assessment number 3 in 2 years and it doesn't change. They have they're own idea of what or who a human should be or what they should be on, and miss the whole personal being itself. Of course I'm going to have a glass of wine or a nice drink every now and then . I'm a grown adult, pay my taxes, lived a hard life. And just because a prison stay and my criminal record ,I get treated as though I'm dumb. When I fact ,it's the broken system. The lgbtq has not the strength all the way around to feel secure and that in...read full review

Hands down the best place I’ve ever went to. John and his staff played a huge part in my life after prison. November will be 4 years sober for me. I’ll never forget the people at HALO.
