DGP was a positive way to learn a lot of the most common tricks you would want, but more importantly it was a great source of early socialization that is SO important for puppies. Our Lola started off a shy wallflower and really blossomed and made lots of puppy friends. The groups are kept small and the trainers help give you extra attention if you're struggling with any particular trick. They also take hygiene and sanitation seriously. Highly recommend!
I highly recommend Dog Gone Problems for puppy classes. We’ve had such a great experience and have learned more than we ever have in previous training programs. Their approach is truly positive reinforcement–based, and what really stands out is how knowledgeable they are about dog behavior and body language. The focus isn’t just on teaching skills, but on making sure the dogs are comfortable, confident, and actually enjoying the process. You can clearly see that the dogs’ emotional well-being is a priority. These classes have been incredibly educational and supportive, and we feel much more confident navigating puppyhood because of them. We’re already looking forward to the next round of classes and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for thoughtful, compassionate, and effective dog training.
I would highly recommend Dog Gone Problems. When we first adopted Shazbot a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Cotton De Tulear we wanted to give her the best start to her new life. She is a former breeding dog at a puppy milll and she did not know how to be a dog. We reached out to Dog Gone Problems as we had read about their positive approach to dog training, as that is what we wanted for her. We had several in home sessions with Lydia. She was professional and listened to our concerns. She then worked with us over several sessions to work with Shazbot and us to help guide her to be the best she can be and we can be for her. We also wanted to continue to help her and her socialization. Lydia recommended that we reach out to David and see if Dog Gone’s day care was a good fit for her. David had us come in for a meet and greet, Shazbot did very well and we were accepted to day care. Shazbot has grown in the time that she has been there thanks to David and his amazing staff. I love being able to check on her throughout the day by dropping in and watching their camera that they have in the dog rooms. I have seen her play and get lots of love from the staff. Thank you David and Dog Gone Problems, we couldn’t have a better place for her to go to hang out and learn.
