A huge thank you to all the care givers at Kimball ER and Hospital!! I have never received a more thorough assessment and treatment plan. The entire staff of doctors, nurses, aides, testing staff, blood draw staff, food service staff treated me like I was their only patient. My every concern and question was addressed with the utmost care for my comfort and understanding. So thankful and grateful to ALL THE STAFF at Kimball Health.
Had my first experience in the new kimball ER with my daughter today. She ended up needing an IV which I knew was going to be a challenge as she has veins like her mother and was dehydrated on top of it. The one nurse tried but failed as my daughter had slightly moved and the vein disappeared. The next nurse came in and started talking to her about the new stitch movie coming, let her watch stitch on her phone while she did the IV and got it the first attempt. I was very pleased. They had 4 nurses in the room to help keep my daughter calm. The nurse talked to my daughter the whole time. I loved it. I wish I knew there names. Need to give a huge shoutout to Peachy in the blood draw/lab department. My 6 month old daughter needed labs done and no hospital has ever been able to hit a vein or successfully draw without the use of an ultrasound (one hospital tried 12 times and still didn’t get what they needed). She hit a vein and got every drop she needed on the first try! She made the whole process, physically and emotionally, better than it’s ever been. Probably helps their amazing OT, Morgan Dickerson, was their to provide emotional support for me too ?
