The Basement Dance Studio

This is a GREAT dance studio for both children and adults! The Basement is a one of a kind Hip Hop studio and my son loves the instructors and attending classes! There are 6 week classes as well as a competition crew. I saw the below comment from a parent regarding the observation of their child during class and wanted to comment and state most of us parents either leave during class or sit in the parent room. When children see their parents during classes it can be a distraction and I think it is a great idea to have the parents "out of sight, out of mind" so they can get the most out of their class!

Our daughter has been taking classes at The Basement for years and has absolutely loved it!! This is the only place near Omaha, Ne to offer real hip hop and breakdance choreography. The instructors are very knowledgable and easy to talk to. It is very reasonably priced and the class times work with a working parents' schedule. We switched here after taking our daughter to a strict, stuffy, uptight dance studio which was NOT for her because she is a free, fun loving kiddo and she has loved every minute dancing here! And if you are unsure if your child will like these classes, they offer 6 week classes to try it out!

I have taught for this studio and also taken classes here. It is a hip hop only studio with several types of hip hop dance classes. I like the adult choreography class, the workshops they offer over the summer and the break dance class. The studio is a very funky and cool space, it has graffiti all over the walls. The teachers are knowledgeable about the style they instruct. The have adult classes which is hard to find in the Omaha area. They also are active in the flash mob dances around Omaha. That is a really neat event to participate in. I think overall the atmosphere is pure hip hop dance. Great for kids and adult classes.
