Their friendly dentists offer routine dental visits and emergency care, including tooth extractions, with convenient appointment times and flexible payment options. The office is committed to providing a safe environment. Patients have praised the staff's kindness and helpfulness, with some noting that the dentist is thorough, fast, and skilled—making procedures like getting dentures or crowns much easier. One patient mentioned that even with language barriers, the team worked hard to ensure understanding and comfort. While some feel the customer service and bedside manner could improve, the office has successfully provided immediate relief for those in pain. Overall, Summit Dental Health aims to deliver quality care, but it may not be the perfect fit for everyone.
Since the majority of the dental work is done by the hygienist, I recommend Summit dental. I have gone to the one on Mission for 9 years. Dr. Straub is an arrogant jerk. He publicly berated me for something that he later found out was his own mistake. Instead of apologizing, he acted as if nothing had happened. He has zero bedside manner. He's good at what he does, but that's about it. So if you don't expect a compassionate dentist, that's fine. Otherwise, consider what the majority of your time is spent doing at the dentist. Since the administrative staff and the hygienist are wonderful, I will continue to go to this place. The bulk of my dental work is done with these people, not with the dentist himself. When I first started going to Summit, there was a different dentist at this location, and she was amazing. I would like to think that the dentists at other locations might have a better sense of manners towards their patients. I hope that Summit would evaluate their dentists, and that they would consider responding more positively to the patients who actually are the reason they get paid. Dr. Straub needs to be trained in compassion and people skills.
What a friendly & great staff. Dr. Straub made my son feel comfortable and reassuring. He has never had a tooth pulled before. It was just an amazing experience for my son to be able to get in quickly and staff was just absolutely outstanding. Thank you Dr. Straub and Tammy and all the other staff. Brandon & Carol
