Welcome back, Don! Glad to see you & the road is open again!! I had to drive by this morning but couldn't stop. For peeps who haven't visited before, there's nothing plastic about Don's service. However, you must bring the green stuff for his GREAT value.Don keeps it simple & gives everyone the attention needed to look & feel good about their hair. His shop is kept simple compared to the fancy chain franchises. He's located next to the Bellevue Fire Department, Avery Station reopened so traffic is moving again. His clientele keeps him busy all day long. Reminder to BRING cash - he prefers to omit Banking fee$!Support this community staple. Thanks, Don!

Don's is the kind of hidden gem that you can help but to share with others. He's had the same shop since the early 70's, mostly running it as a solo business. Never mind that the price is so low ($7 cash or check)... this guy is true whole package when it comes to skills, willingness to listen and give you any cut exactly as you want it, and a personality that makes you feel like you've been one of his buddies forever. Great person, still working 12 hour days 5 days a week (closed Thursdays and Sundays), who never asks for a tip but nearly always receives a $10 bill or check because folks appreciate him and know there's nowhere in the city that you can go for even 2 or...read full review
