“Required a bordetella vaccine within 6 months versus the up to date vaccine with the vet within one year. Was not made aware of this prior to arrival which then incurred an additional $55 charge for her to provide the vaccine upon arrival.”
“Big Sky Kennels is absolutely top-notch! John Staley is a master trainer with over 35 years of experience, and it shows in every aspect of their program.
What sets Big Sky apart is their positive reinforcement training philosophy. They focus on bringing out your dog's natural hunting instincts while building confidence and obedience through repetition and patience - no harsh methods here. The result is a calm, happy dog that excels in the field and has a strong bond with their handler.
The facility itself is incredible - 150 acres of beautiful wetland preserve just 6 miles outside Grand Forks, with plenty of pheasants, pigeons, and waterfowl for real-world training scenarios. It's the ideal environment for developing a premier started gun dog.
John's award-winning results and recognition in the media speak for themselves, but what really matters is seeing your dog transformed into a confident, skilled hunting companion. If you're looking for professional bird dog training in the Grand Forks area, Big Sky Kennels is the place to go. Highly recommended!”
