Medical Clinics in Grand Forks

“For any Canadian suffering in pain while waiting months—or even years—for an MRI, look no further!

I was tired of watching my father sit in agonizing pain every day while waiting nearly a year for a spinal MRI in Manitoba. I decided to call the Grand Forks Clinic on a Monday morning and sent them his doctor’s MRI request form.

Within an hour, I received a phone call from the MRI technician, Emilee, who was incredibly kind and helpful. After I explained my father’s situation, she immediately asked, “Can you come today, or Wednesday or Thursday this week?”

We chose a Wednesday appointment, which worked perfectly with the Canada Day holiday and meant we did not have to miss work at our family business.

After an easy drive from Winnipeg to Grand Forks, we arrived at a beautiful, clean facility with plenty of convenient parking, comfortable seating, and a spacious waiting area. We checked in for our 3:00 p.m. appointment, completed a few simple forms, and within five minutes my father was called in for his scans.

The spinal MRI took approximately 15–20 minutes. Once it was finished, Emilee prepared both a USB flash drive and a CD containing the MRI images for us. The results were also sent directly to his doctor, and we received the detailed radiologist’s report by email the following day.

The cost was approximately $800 USD for a fast spinal MRI, quick results, excellent service, and a relatively short drive from Winnipeg. What’s not to like?

Thanks to the Grand Forks Clinic, the spinal clinic in Winnipeg now has the MRI results and is working to find a surgeon who can review them and hopefully develop a treatment and surgery plan.
