I changed CPAP equipment supplier and started to utilize Sleep Wellness Center of Fargo. Recieved my first CPAP supplies last night. They were packaged in a bag, yes a postal bag. And stuffed in my mail box by USPS. It had two puncture holes in the bag. And was filthy. This is NOT how to send DME supplies in the mail. PUT THEM IN A STURDY BOX! I am not sure if the masks or tubing has a hole in them yet. Also the mailing label had been partialy ripped off and taped back on and there was a hole there too. Have not recieved DME Supplier Standards and the usual paperwork. Not happy about this.
I am giving two stars for this facility providing my AutoPAP machine because my initial encounter with them was very pleasant. Set up and fitting was great. However, if you need adjustments or issue with your machine, I would not recommend their services.
After having a sharp decline in sleep quality from the machine doing strange things, I returned for some help. The help was not found in the slightest. If you have needs of adjustment or troubleshooting of your equipment or issues, I highly recommend you contact your doctor directly and do not utilize this facility for changes or recommendations. I did my first sleep study with Winmar because my primary provider recommended that I do a sleep study. After I completed my first sleep study, Winmar couldn't come up with any definitive results on whether or not I had sleep apnea or not. The technician asked me if I could come back for a second sleep study and this was not possible due to my job. Recently, this past December, I did a second sleep study with Winmar because it was recommended again by my provider. This time, Winmar was able to tell me that I had severe sleep apnea. However, the hospital would not cover a CPAP machine and I had no insurance. Winmar would not allow me to make payments towards a CPAP machine and I needed one at the time. This company doesn't care about the patient and if you need medical equipment like a CPAP machine or not. All they care about is the bottom line and profit. If they did care about me, they would have allowed me to make payments on a ridiculously overpriced CPAP machine that they so conveniently sell. But the employee that I worked with, Danelle, told me that Winmar was not going to allow me to make payments on a CPAP machine and that they have never allowed anyone to do so in the past. She proceeded to tell me how they would accept cash. Well, I did not have $1,400 lying around and that is why I asked if I could make payments. Instead, Danelle repeated herself and said that the Board met and said no. My advice is don't do any sleep studies with Winmar. It is a total waste of time! And once they find out that you are unable to afford their product or products, they drop you like a bad habit and there is absolutely no follow up whatsoever. They don't care about you as a patient or customer at all.
