Be aware that this is a walk in clinic and operates on a first come, first service basis for the most part. You should expect a wait of 1-3 hours so just mentally prepared yourself for that ahead of time. That all said, we waited 2.5 hours for an eye issue with our dog and when we were finally seen the care was compassionate, informed, very fairly priced and efficient. Yes the waiting is tough on most schedules, but it's a blessing to have such a place in the event you need it
Had a good visit. My dog had an emergency, and they got him in the same day. They got him into surgery that day, and he was ready to be picked up at 2:30. Everything went very well and everyone was nice. However, I will say, I prefer going to Wilkes Veterinary Hospital. I have two dogs. My oldest dog has only been to Animal Hospital of Wilkes, and my youngest has always gone to Wilkes Veterinary Hospital.
